Alhamdullilah. Our maiden edition of the Meet and Greet with The Muslim Woman Achiever.

Glad our maiden meet and greet session with the  Waakye seller’s  daughter, the lady who attended a public school , the lady who did a lot of work without salary but was still determined.

Writing and posting  about her, her career, her successes and all that to me, shouldn’t  only end with people reading and commenting they feel inspired.

Creating the social development impact by setting a platform for those who want to meet her is more significant to me and her also because she also runs a platform that seeks to bring Muslim Women around the world together.

The session is my own small way of creating a platform that will enable some of the young girls/ women (Muslims/ Christians)  who want to peruse the  Cabin Crew Career.
These women reached out via inbox messages requesting to meet her in person and ask her questions relating  to the Aviation Profession.

Zulaiha Muntari we cant thank you enough, you were simply receptive.
@iamlami Thank you for taking time off your busy schedule to come and  spend time with us  regardless you were tired  but you still denied yourself some rest after  arriving from a long distance trip (work duties). She took time to answer all their questions.

The ladies left well  informed, educated empowered and inspired in various forms. We couldn’t have been more grateful.
To those who couldn’t make because of circumstances beyond your control, don’t worry the will always be a next time.

She went like “one time, a guy from my hood, who comes to buy Waakye from my mum, infact I used to sell to him then met me on board and was shocked to the bone.
“He kept watching me, literally wipe his face and watch me again. You see that thing that, you are not too sure it’s the same old face you knew from way back that used to sell Waakye to you.”

Trust me he was shocked to see that I was a cabin crew. Me the Waakye seller’s daughter.
Moral lesson, nobody knows tomorrow. Where you start doesn’t determine where you will end. Irrespective of where you attended school public/ private, whether you were born with a golden spoon or not, when favour finds you, it leaves the world in total shock.

Just be focused and determined. Don’t let where you are coming from determine your end. At all times, involve the Almighty God in your doings. In our own special way, we also presented a T-shirt to her for making time to spend her day with us.

One of the ladies who have just started producing kids food after the session presented a few samples to our Muslim Woman Achiever as a way of showing appreciation to her for her making time to meet them.

On the journey to honouring, celebrating and meeting and greeting seeking with  The Muslim Woman Achiever, irrespective of religious background, our platform welcomes women who have the  knowledge and expertise in the chosen field relating to our meet and greet sessions.

“These 2 ladies @ms.akorfa @mandy_nasr are staunch Christians, but they always go like, we admire you Muslims so much. Most of you make the religion look beautiful and welcoming.”

Mandy Nasr to attended and her 6 years working and learning experience in Aviation.
And also  promised to give out all her books she used for  the 3 years studies  in IATA to one of the women who needed it. Mandy have  worked with Silver Wings Airlines and MEA.
