Financial Empowerment Over Self Pity.

Image
If he won’t eat the food you sweat by the fire to cook, knife cutting you or hot oil splashing on you, please proceed and eat alone, pray, bath and sleep. If there are kids or a kid eat with them and enjoy. You want to starve over a man who gives no hoot about you? If he won’t come home early and you are tired of complaining, pray for yourself first to sleep and wake up alive and then pray for him to be safe out there because no matter what if he’s harmed you will feel the pain. But please dont stay all night crying over a man who has no dignity?  A man who doesn’t stop to think that, you also need some love and cuddles?  A man who rather than strengthening his family bond, goes about chasing women? If he is not giving you the money to buy that beautiful thing you want, what’s stopping you from taking the money from your own  salary or the profit you make from running your own business to buy something you love once awhile? Instead of crying for a wish  that will never be fulfilled.

As part of creating an additional skill impact, the beneficiaries of the Zango woman livelihood And Empowerment Programme were taken through a one day Essential Financial Management for Business Start-up and Digital Marketing training at the Kanda Community library to enable them garner more knowledge into how to go on their makeup artists career successfully.   According to the Founder of ZANGWOLEAP, Adiza Ibrahim Sadiq, “the training is geared towards giving them some basic fundamental    insights into what serious entrepreneurs must do for their businesses to thrive. The makeup profession is saturated but it’s also a cash cow and most importantly this is what they themselves said they wanted to supported to learn so I personally believe if we are doing it for them, then we must teach them with all the other areas involved so they will be equipped well.” Sometimes, you can have all the skill but if you don’t manage the business well, it won’t take long for it to collapse. That’s not

We Don’t Need Autocratic Husbands.

Image
“Adiza Ibrahim Sadiq, founder  of the Zongo Women Empowerment programme has spoken on behalf of all Zongo women that they do not want autocratic men who will not allow them take steps to becoming financially independent women. She explained to host, Eunice Dede Tornyi on eTV Ghana’s African Women’s Voices that in Islam, men are the leaders in a household and they are supposed to be responsible for the family’s upkeep, not to be autocratic, hence the women do not expect such behaviour. “Things are changing. If you’re not allowing her to pursue her dreams, it’s not fair. You married her with a degree and you’re telling her not to work because you don’t want her to go out there. When your wife grows and she becomes phenomenal, you become phenomenal yourself. We have a lot of women in the Zongo who have potential but some of the men don’t allow us”, she sounded to the men. According to Adiza, the Islam religion understands that women are worthy to be independent, hence liberates them, but

Strive To Become Successful Muslim Married Women.

Image
You can become a very successful married Muslim woman working for  someone or running your own business or doing both at the same time but it all depends on you.  Forget the unrealistic limitations people, society and cultural have tied  around your neck with regards to the saying “a woman’s place is the home and the kitchen.”  In this century, any Muslim woman who allows this degenerative backward thinking standard get to her to make her also accept that, truly the ultimate achievement for for a woman  in life is to get married without adding any value to herself will do herself a great disservice.   In Islam, marriage completes your Deen in but our Prophet Mohammed SWA loved hardworking and enterprising women. So why limit yourself so what human beings set as standards? I have seen beautiful marriage hit the ticks because the sole provider of the home who’s the man lost his job. I have witnessed a man brutally humiliate his wife and her family because he provides for them.  I have se

The Zango Women Livelihood and Empowerment Programme (ZANGWOLEAP), a not-for-profit initiative, under the auspices of Kuburah Diamonds Foundation has been launched on Thursday, October 8th, 2020. The programme which was hinged on the theme “Empowering the Zango Women into Building Financial Freedom through Skills Development and Capacity Building” took place at the Nima-Mamobi Community library in Accra. Speaking at the event, Adizah Ibrahim Sadiq, also known as Kuburah Diamonds, said “ZANGWOLEAP came about because I wanted to go beyond writing, go beyond supporting with money to getting young girls empowered through Make-up artistry.  Although the market is saturated,  it depends on how you do it.  Just like the tomato sellers in the market, every one makes ends meet. You just have to be smart by subsidizing your prices since you are an amateur.” The Womens’ Choice Awards nominee added that, not everyone will be seen in the office space or doing White-collar jobs. Some haven’t gone to

Some Important Things To Look At In Preventing Postpartum Depression. How The Support I Got Saved Me!

Image
This picture of me and my children taken 3 years ago bring back so many memories. It’s reminds me how hard I fought postpartum depression so it never set in at the time. The birth interval between my kids is just a year and a half so you can just imagine how motherhood was challenging for me during that time. My biological mum whom I was hopeful will be the main support in my motherhood journey unfortunately got very sick when I was just 3 months pregnant with the second child (boy) and my first (girl) was also just a few months after a year old. I had to rely on my own energy first of all, my husband, my step-mother Inlaw of blessed memory and my husband’s mother. At some point even my father Inlaw had to also baby sit so I could go to work in peace. These people I can’t stop thanking them wash passing day. Just    imagine all these number of people holding forth for me as a new mum. It means that, clearly motherhood derives a lot of energy from not only the new mum herself but from t

My Article On Covid-19 And High Delivery Fees Published By The Spectator Online.

COVID-19 has pushed many consumers to jumped on online shopping because it has proven to be the most convenient way of buying during this era as people are cautioned to practice social distancing. Stay away from overcrowded places and shopping centres are definitely places anyone mindful about their health will be careful about.  Therefore, digital marketing has become an ideal medium for businesses to promote their products and services.  Buying online is fast, easy and stress free as you confirm your order, pay for it before it’s delivered or pay on delivery but does this kind of convenience match with how much the ordinary Ghanaian has to pay as delivery fee? Once a while I come across people ranting about how much they paid as delivery charges more than the cost price of the product they actually bought online but I flip over because it doesn’t concern me.  Lo and behold, I got my own share of how it hurts to feel that way. I was practically charged GH¢35  as delivery fee for GH¢ 2

Women, Build Your Financial Freedom Even If You Are Married To The Richest Person.

Image
A thousand  times, I will tell young women to build a financial freedom. Work, work, own your future even if you are married. If he has a house you can also build one to make it two. In the end all will be for your kids.  Don’t say, he’s got it all so you can’t be bothered to do anything. Build your capacity. Own your future. Enlarge your territories.  Today, most women are suffering because they built all their financial hope on their late husbands, little did they know the wind of death and even time could change everything. Families, suddenly have become interested in the sacrifices that helped built their  husband’s fortunes.  Women who sacrificed their education, time and skill just to stay home and take care of their children instead of getting a help to do that so money can be saved for building a better future.  Women who accepted to be housewives to get the home going  so their husbands can have peace of mind to work hard and build their future.  Today, all those sacrifices h

Let’s Remind Ourselves About Ghusl For Women And Men.

Image
We may not admit it but worldly times and behaviour is really making lot of Muslims forget that Ghusl for Women and Men is an important aspect of our act of worship so are not really mindful about practising it. Ghusl is washing the entire body with water.  But let me remind you that, the state of janabah renders a person unfit for the performance of ritual duties, such as prayer, until they purify themselves through complete ablution (ghusl) so how then do you you even feel about your salat when you don’t do this knowing very well you had sexual intercourse or just finished menstruating?  I was taught this at a very early age by my Madrasa teacher and dad and I am not shy to say I perform it as and when I have too.  After reading in-depth on it, I felt it’s an opportunity to share with someone who prolly doesn’t know.  Religiously, any person who calls him/ herself a    Muslim is not fit to pray unless he/ she performs ghusl otherwise your prayers is null.  Men and women have to make

Personal Hygiene Ought To Be Taken Seriously!

Image
You can’t live  in the same house or work in the same office with people where you share the same washroom, and all what you do is urinate or poopoo and not flush it. Who does this? Dear brothers and sisters, please let’s take our personal hygiene serious. And this must start from home and must start at an early age so it becomes part of us. It speaks a lot about who we truly are.  Many of us only look well kept on the outside but are very irresponsible in keeping person hygiene for themselves and their surroundings.  You can’t carry yourself about as a beautiful or handsome man and not practice basic personal hygiene like making sure to flush the toilet when you use it, using a rag or mob to clean the floor when it gets wet by you.  You soak clothes in water for days till the odour from it becomes nauseating before you remember you soaked something.  You visit other people’s washroom and urinate in their bathrooms without pouring clean water to wash it away or even just do it in the

Just To Help My Christian Friends And Followers Know All About Eid- Al-Adha.

Image
Eid-ul-Adha is the greater or say bigger    Eid, this follows the completion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, at the time of Qurbani (sacrifice). Although Eid-ul-Adha has no direct relation to the Hajj Pilgrimage, it is but a day after the completion of Hajj and therefore has significance in time.  The day of Eid-ul-Adha falls on the tenth day in the final (twelfth) month of the Islamic Lunar Calendar; Dhu-al-Hijjah.  The day that celebrations fall on is dependent on a legitimate sighting of the moon, following the completion of the annual Holy Pilgrimage of Hajj -  which is an obligation for all Muslim’s who fit specific criteria, one of the important five pillars of Islam.  The celebration of Eid-ul-Adha is to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah SWT and his readiness to sacrifice his son, Ismail.  At the very point of sacrifice, Allah SWT replaced Ismail with a ram, which was to be slaughtered in place of his son. This command from Allah SWT was a test of Prophet Ibrahim’s

Kuburah Diamonds Chairs The Maiden Edition of Miss Muslimmah Ghana 2020.

I was extremely honoured to have been considered worthy by organisers to chair the maiden edition of @miss_musilimah_ghana  ceremony  @accracityhotel.  An event for the woman  of substance, woman of essence, true definition of African Queen,  a Real African Muslim  woman who is true to herself and keeps her colours shining .  The novelty, and historic nature of the pageantry made it more exciting for me to be a part of it, with the extra privilege of being the Chairperson. Ladies and gentlemen, anything which portrays the beauty of our beautiful religion, Islam, as well as brings out the best out of our noble women, is something which should be embraced and supported by all.  That's why I wholeheartedly accepted to be part of this wonderful intiative and also chair its historic launch.  I believe everyone here supports this worthy cause, and I wish to urge our sisters and brothers out there who were not at the launch with us to also embrace and support this good initiative. Top 5 Ghanaian Businesses From Different Sectors That Introduced The Best COVID-19 Marketing Campaigns.

Image
COVID-19 brought out some exceptional qualities in marketers around the world regardless the effect it had on some businesses. One of the good qualities of a marketer is how they are able to come up with marketing campaigns that resonate with their target audience. This is not a cast in stone otherwise most businesses would have been successful    the moment they introduce a product or service on the market.  Evidently, the kind of marketing campaigns some companies use during this period    tells a lot about how dedicated and sensitive they are to the needs of their targeted audience.  Now more than ever, people with even low purchasing power are skeptical about going out to shop. So this challenges businesses to come up with marketing campaigns that seeks to clear any doubt on the minds of consumers. Kuburah Diamonds is a Blog that writes on social and economic issues in Ghana so we took the opportunity to throw some light on these Top 5 companies that did great with their marketing
