A LETTER TO MY ZANGO PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT ADHERING TO THE CORONA VIRUS STAY HOME DIRECTIVE
Dear ZANGO,
What I see in our communities by some of us regarding how we are taking the safety measures in preventing the spread of CORONA VIRUS is really worrying.
As a people, it’s about time, we change our “I don’t care attitude. Our negligence, sheer ignorance, adamant to this DEADLY DISEASE is troubling.
Till date, some of us still organize marriage, naming, funeral (Aduwa) ceremonies and other events that bring people together in one space.
We have been cautioned to pray in our various homes but some disregard the instruction and still go and pray in their numbers close to each other in the mosque.
Most of the men whom you expect should know better still go out their normal activities including going to sit together in their numbers at the various joints and bases just to play draught and card game like nothing is happening in this country.
Infact, it looks like it’s a deliberate attempt to flaunt the safety measures in the spread of this deadly disease.
It challenge Omg convincing people who have made up their minds already but still let’s forge on.
In letting our people understand that CORONA VIRUS is not a scam, it’s not a disease for other believers as some of them have been made to believe.
The deliberate attempt to brain wash people especially the uneducated is not a good thing at all.
CORONA VIRUS is not a disease any religious extremist can stop except they practice the safety measures.
Allah is very merciful and as parts of being merciful to mankind, He will appreciate and love the fact that we muslims make a dedicated effort to combat this pandemic together.
But to sit unalarmed, unconcerned, He will come through for us if we don’t follow the directives by the President of Ghana and Ministry of Health ie. by staying home if we are not running any essential services, practicing social distancing, washing our hands with soap under running water, using hand santizers, and covering our mouths when we are sneezing or coughing, our hope on Him will be a dream never come true because He is not a God who pardons deliberate acts that put people’s life at risk.
It’s pathetic how some section of the community think CORONA VIRUS is an agenda for political gains. I mean how should a right thinking person or persons come up with such ideas if not for ignorance or deliberate attempt to run the whole community into shambles.
My ZANGO people please, CORONA virus is irrespective of our party colours so if you are thinking it’s an NPP agenda, you got it all wrong. Bury your head SHAME because you are rendering so much disservice to others who are as gullible as you are.
PLEASE STOP THE MISINFORMATION, STOP THE UNHEALTHY OPPOSITION POLITICAL PARTY AGENDA.
I don’t live in Zango but I have loved ones, family, friends, colleagues infact everyone in Zango regardless the relationship I ahve with them is a human and don’t deserve anybody’s negligence.
Kudos to the decent people in Zango who are up I the fight against this virus.
As we are pride ourselves about our beautiful religion and cultural, let’s do same I the fight against this deadly disease.
This is a collective fight, kindly inform your neighbours about it, show them videos, audios, pictures etc. of what’s happening in the Western world, if that means causing fear and panic, go ahead because we have to be radical in tackling serious issues as this if people are not complying.
