SAY NO TO VERBAL, EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE IN MARRIAGE.

Image
LONG POST ALERT!!!  My name is Adiza Kuburah Braimah Sadiq aka. Kuburah Diamonds. My husband and I have known each other for 10 years (dating and marriage) and I am proud to say, at no point was I violent on him and vice versa. You think if he was I would have stayed with him till now? No way!! Same way if I ever exhibited any form of violence, am sure I wouldn’t have been the one to be called his wife today.  Let’s not make excuses for other people’s negative actions towards us. There’s nothing like “with time a violent person changes”. In some cases Yes but in most cases No! Their negative ways, once detected early should be stopped, if after efforts in getting them change still proves futile, then you need to advice yourself.  I won’t  stay it’s been all rosy since my husband and I met each other but if even it was, some roses have thorns so our relationship would still have experienced some rough days literally.   During our relationshi...

The Muslim Women Crush. Inside Malaysia

Image
Today, we are crushing on these two not only beautiful but  intelligent, smart, powerful Muslim women who have been called to represent women in Malaysia in the Islamic High Court.   For the the first time in History, women have been given their rightful seats as judges on Malaysian Syraiah (Malay for Shariah) High Court. They have been  APPOINTED AS JUDGES on an  ISLAMIC HIGH COURT.  Unprecedented!! Such a powerful role to be given to women. A piece of good news for all the vulnerable Muslim women in Malaysia who’s cases are over ruled in favour of the men.  I believe this special role have come to end the partially judged cases against women.  Women power# achievers# changing narratives# #empowerment #liberation #voice of the vulnerable #gender equality #gender balance #court matters #women of substance #the muslim women achievers

The MUSLIM WOMAN ACHIEVER

Image
From being unemployed then and using her “curiosity” self and opportunity give  to her to be part of Zongo INSPIRATION TEAM in learning soap making program in July 2016, Fatima Zahra Shardow, CEO at SAPTA Qleen who doubles up as an Executive Secretary with a Financial Consulting firm, I believe made the most out of her strong desire to learn a skill to better her life.  The Bachelors Degree Holder in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism even after her first  ‘ try and error’ samples which did not receive much positive feedback one would’ve expected to get from friends and family, our beautiful religious married Muslim woman went on further to research  more on soap making as part of the efforts in making quality products expected by consumers. “I decided to do more research because BASIC doesn’t sell! I did and it was better than before so I made favors(rabo) for weddings and it started ‘catching fire’. I decided to BRAND it well to make i...

THE STRONG WOMAN

Image
Be that STRONG WOMAN no matter what. Be that strong woman for your own growth and sanity. Honey, don’t loose yourself, your inner beauty and future because of a man.  When the time is right, the right man who will not belittle, use you as rebound, as side chick or an open relationship partner will come for just you and make you his queen.  But until then, concentrate on building yourself to greatness.  Don’t let anything stop or take your shine. Men love women who are POWERFUL in all aspect of life. Start up that business plan today, go all out in growing yourself and anything related to making you great. Getting a good partner is a good feeling every woman wishes but honey if you are not getting, don’t loose your head. Concentrate on building your empire. They will come after you like magnet when the time is right.  Don’t allow yourself to be a second fiddle, you deserve the QUEENSHIP CROWN. HAPPY SUNDAY#FEMINISM #LOVE #LIVE #INSPIRATION #WOMAN #PO...

You see we  women ‘including me’ in general just love to always play the gender game or the victim. Even if we have men who try their best, some of us will still make the situation seems we are the  only or most hardworking and supportive partners at the least opportunity  given to us. So it’s making it hard to come across men who put aside their typical traditional marriage rules aside and help at home perform some duties. But we still have some who understand very well that times have changed so they try to adjust to our demands and save the moment in their own small ways by exhibiting some cool character. I preach feminism because I hate to be cheated because I hate see any woman chested by a man  in all areas of life but then again somethings are just what they are, can’t be changed, hence we just have to continue to put in the efforts, hope and wish for the better. Gradually we shall get there. Believe me, if we take the issue  of gender equality fr...

BITTER! BUT THE TRUE REALITY OF MOST GHANAIAN GRADUATES AFTER UNIVERSITY.

Image
Ghana, life after university. Practical reality of the Ghanaian youths and how you have to tactically survive it. How 80% of graduates manage their way out to where they are now in their career journey, only God knows and only time will allow their stories to be told. Most of us along the line,  dropped our University degree specialisation to peruse something new. I mean the courses we actually majored in, the knowledge and practical experience we garnered from doing  attachment just to add more  knowledge for a different change of career.  Don’t blame us at all, we took those bold steps out of frustration. Out of the fact that, some people we expected to understand and sympathize  with us on our “fresh university graduate looking for job but to no avail days” gave up on us.  So at some point we were also tired of the national anthem “the no vacancy” sang in our faces immediately we dropped our CVs. We were simply tired of seeing and h...
